Featuring a new biophilic-inspired design and an enhanced immersion hydroponic setup that delivers water and nutrients directly to the plant's roots, this kit is guaranteed to grow. No more worries about over-watering, under-watering, soil, or pests - just nutritious herbs grown at home year-round.

You can choose from 5 popular organic kitchen herbs, all with a simpler setup and enhanced instructions and support. The immersion hydroponics system ensures faster and more fruitful sprouting, as verified by our users. We've also made the new Garden Jar more sustainable, with reduced components, lighter glass (making it 70% more recyclable), domestic sourcing, and a more sustainable end-of-life plan.

The new reveal window takes the guesswork out of watering - just keep the water up to the fill line, and the hydroponic system will do the rest. Additionally, we've designed the topper to be a coaster, allowing you to set your Garden Jar on it while growing and use it as a catch for any drips when changing the water.

To ensure successful germination, seeds need at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight, so place the jar in an unobstructed window facing south, west, or east (southwest is the best option). During winter or if you don't have an unobstructed window, you can supplement with a grow light. Herb seeds take 7-14 days to sprout and will be ready to start harvesting in 2+ months.

Our Garden Jars are designed to be reused again and again. Some herbs are seasonal with life cycles ranging from 4-6 months, and you can easily add new seeds or use one of our practical replant kits. The shrink-wrap sleeve on each jar can also be removed for easier recycling or repurposing the jar in other parts of the home.

When designing the new look for our Garden Jars, we aimed to create design-forward art for the home with beautiful graphics and colors, while keeping the same classic silhouette our customers know and love. Inspired by the Japanese term "Kormorebi" (the shadowing created by light passing through trees), the design features soft shadows of each herb type. The benefits of biophilic design, which have been proven to create a sense of calm, certainty, and quietness, are reflected in the colorful, subtle, shadowed, and elegant new look.

At $20 and with multiple support resources to ensure success, the new Garden Jar outperforms the older design and provides more value overall. Each jar yields up to six months of fresh herbs, the equivalent of $30+ of store-bought herbs, greatly reducing waste. You can also reuse the jar with your own seeds or our replant kits to multiply the value, allowing you to keep growing and growing.

The new 2024 design has been tested and verified by our Grower's Panel, with over 90% preferring the new version to the previous one. These jars feature fewer components, easy-to-follow instructions, and a whole new immersion hydroponic setup, resulting in faster and more fruitful sprouting with less maintenance.
